Hello! I’m Helen Humphreys, a Botanical Casting Artist and keen organic gardener who enjoys growing and creating in my Derbyshire garden!

Each piece of my artwork is individually cast from plants and flowers which makes them unique and one-of-a-kind. The plants or flowers are carefully laid out and imprinted into natural clay before being cast in Plaster of Paris to create a bas relief cast. This is then sanded and painted in Farrow and Ball natural tones to add a contrast inspired by the style of Wedgwood. Capturing a moment-in-time and showcasing the simple beauty of nature through the seasons.

Most of my pieces are created from plants and flowers that I’ve grown in my organic garden in South Derbyshire. If I haven’t had room to grow them (like the acorns!), then they’ve been foraged locally from country walks within a few miles of my home. I’m committed towards increasingly making my business as sustainable as possible, which is why I use no plastic in my packaging and it’s sourced locally from a family-run business in Swadlincote where I live!
