Following on from our bumper crop last year, we’re sticking with the ‘Red Cherry’ and ‘Garden Pearl’ varieties of tomatoes this year. Both sets of seeds have now been sown and are now waiting to germinate on the kitchen windowsill.

I’m looking forward to a summer full of fabulous flavours and creativity… I absolutely loved how my botanical castings turned out last summer. This cherry tomato casting captured the forms of the tomato plant brilliantly!

This framed bas relief casting of cherry tomatoes and plants is one-of-a-kind and shows the simple beauty of nature whilst capturing a moment-in-time in the summer vegetable garden.
This casting was created by imprinting the developing cherry tomatoes and leaves in natural clay and then cast in Plaster of Paris. The cast was then sanded and finished before being hand-painted in Farrow and Ball ‘Green Smoke’.
